Over 70 members gathered in the Music Room at Kimberley Hall for the launch, by Matthew Martin, of our latest book ‘Capability Brown in Norfolk’ and afterwards for a guided walk of some of the significant features in the Brownian landscape led by Tom Williamson. These included the walled garden with the central ‘hot wall’ where the stoke holes and heating flues were still visible as well as the remains of Brown’s greenhouse. We were also able to examine Brown’s plans for the estate from 1762 and 1778.
